Small Spaces – Part 1

If you live in the city, it is very probable that you have space issues in your home. A friend of mine just purchased an apartment in Montreal and she’s having a hard time figuring out how to dispose her furniture to maximize the narrow space. She also doesn’t have a real entryway and no coat closet, which is the case in many small apartments. I own a small apartment myself, so I know it is possible to not feel closed in in a small space. So hopefully, this new “Small Spaces” section will help those of you dealing with space issues get some clever ideas to make a big impact in your not so big home. To start (with my friend with the nonexistent entryway in mind), here are some ideas for creating a great entrance in a small area.
