Let Light Shine

One of the reasons why I’m attracted to white or very light interiors is because of the way the bright walls reflect the sunlight. The white and light coloured walls in this house make it look luminous and incredibly soothing which proves that a white space doesn’t have to feel cold. In the dining room, for instance, the use of wood (whitewashed wood panelling, chevron hardwood floors, wooden dining table, etc.) warms up the space. Adding texture is also a great way to add character and interest to an all white surface; just look at the stunning impact of the white painted brick wall in the kitchen or the beautiful wall moulding panels in the hallway.
